Happy Birthday, Reagan Lee!

Our precious Reagan is two today!  It seems like just yesterday she arrived.

She is such a sweet big sister to Claire.  She loves to help take care of the baby and give her lots of hugs and kisses.

She loves to play the piano, I think lessons might be in her future!
She definitely has her own sense of style.
Boz the Green Bear is her favorite show to watch.
Reagan is the queen of the tea party (or coffee for that matter)!
 Swinging makes her cackle.
She loves play doh.
She's turned into part fish since she took swimming lessons in the spring.

Reagan is already showing the gift of mercy, a much needed addition to our family!  She always tries to make sure everyone is happy and fix it if they are not.

Oh, how the time flies!

Happy Birthday, Reagan Bear!!

Moose Galore

Apparently, there are people who come to Alaska and never see a moose.  That has not been our problem!

We love Uncle Bub!

Uncle Bub came down for a few days to visit.  Reagan was so happy-she adores her uncle!  We had fun taking him to the Houston Zoo and the Hermann Park train.

We also made an adult's only trip to Saint Arnold.

We are so proud of Uncle Bub for being accepted to Colorado State University to continue his Bachelor's degree.  We know he is going to continue to accel!

First Days in Alaska

We made it to Alaska in one piece-even Ranger!  We really appreciate everyone's prayers for our safe and easy travel, things could not have gone better.
Ranger is sure something terrible is about to happen!
 We packed light.
Tiny wanted to hold her own passport to go through security.

The girls were great travelers.  Reagan slept the first half of both flights (2 hours is great for our non-napper).  Claire doesn't enjoy sleeping in her carseat, but she slept off and on and drank lots of milk.  Reagan is definitely our better traveler so far.  Miss Claire prefers to stay home.  The Seattle airport was great because it had a play area for Reagan and a nursing room for Claire.  We were glad we had a long layover so they could play, eat, and not rush to the next flight.

Several members of Justin's new flight met us at the airport.  All of our bags were on the carousel and Ranger was waiting nearby when we came out to baggage claim.  We are so thankful that nothing got lost!

It has been very interesting getting used to all the daylight.  Even after the sun sets, it never drops all the way below the horizon, so it's always at least like twilight outside.  It is very difficult to go to bed because your body wants to stay awake.  Our temporary house has blackout curtains, but they are short, so a lot of light still gets in the room.  We sleep, but it just doesn't feel restful, so we will be investing in good blackout curtains for our new house.  Both girls have napped really well, though, so I think they are getting rested up from the last month.

We've gotten settle into TLF(temporary living facility) and taken a few walks, but it has been very rainy this week.  Our evenings have involved shopping for the bare necessities.  All that to say, the good camera hasn't come out yet.  We hope to get out more in the next few days and take lots of pictures.  When it's clear, we have an amazing view of Mt. McKinley.  The pictures I have taken are on Instagram and Facebook, so check there if you haven't seen them yet.  Our new house is right across the street from where we had our first moose sighting.  It's the end unit, so it's right next to open space.  We get our keys on Tuesday!  The moving company said our household goods left port yesterday at 1am, and they should arrive in Alaska on Sunday.  Hopefully, we will get our stuff delivered right after we get our keys.  A great perk of moving with the Air Force is that the moving company will put all the beds together and unbox anything I want.  I'm glad we got to walk through the house because now we can have a good idea where we want things to go.

I promise I will take pictures, and get them uploaded here!!
