A Week of Goodbyes

This week has been a week of goodbyes for us.  Thankfully, we know it won't be too long until we are back in Oklahoma City.  It's a little easier leaving a place that we know we will be able to visit since we have family and lots of friends.

Granny and Grandpa (and Buddy) came down for the weekend to bring us some clothes and an awesome sled for Alaska.  Grandpa took down the swing he slaved to put up not even and year ago and did lots of taking down/rearranging that had to happen before the movers arrived.  Granny kept the washing machine and dishwasher going so everything would be clean and put away.  She made sure I remembered everything I needed to do and pack to take with us.  It was amazing that our "easy move" came with such a long to do list!

Saturday night, Aunt GiGi made sure we had one more good home cooked meal.  It was a wonderful break after working all day.  The girls are always glad to see Aunt GiGi and Uncle Gary.  Reagan is determined to win her cousin Lucas over one of these days with her charms!

Sunday, we said goodbye at Bridgeway.  We enjoyed a sweet time of worship and said lots of prayers for the church God has already prepared for us in Fairbanks.  Reagan gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot whether it be for Sunday morning, Bible study or Mom's Mentoring-she's always happy to be there.  We have loved watching her grow there are seeing the beginnings of her faith.  It's amazing to think we've dedicated two babies there in just 18 months!  We are so thankful for the friends we've made there and the growth we've seen in our family while we attended Bridgeway.

We dropped Reagan with Gma Sunday afternoon so she could have some fun and we could finish getting the house ready.  Reagan shooed Mama out the door knowing she would have a good time!  Again, we are thankful that we have our family here, it certainly makes the process easier!

The movers arrived this morning and have been boxing without slowing down.  They say I'm at the top of the list for the amount of stuff in my kitchen.  What can I say?  I love to cook!  They finished the rest of the house in the time it took one guy to box up my kitchen stuff!!  I can definitely get used to not moving ourselves though.  I think Justin has come to my side, DITY moves just aren't worth it!

I are getting really excited about spending a few weeks in Texas and really looking forward to beginning our Alaskan adventure.  Hopefully, we can fit it just one more trip to the zoo though...
